Our skills and knowledge development programs

INSIGHT: supporting our managers

INSIGHT is a dedicated program for managers with training modules combining inspiring videos, e-learning and regular discussion groups. Around 500 managers have already undergone training and obtained certification since the program was launched in 2018.


GM School: general managers program

GM School is a program to support General Managers in their activities and development within the Group. Dedicated to developing business and leadership skills, this 44-hour program is provided in virtual and face-to-face class format. It offers a wide range of training content such as e-learning modules, videos, articles, and also meetings and workshops as well as e-coaching and mentoring programs.

 

C-BOX: serious games for team building

C-BOX are facilitation kits (serious games) designed to enable a team to stimulate collective intelligence. The materials contained in the C-BOX allow everyone to become a facilitator. Each C-BOX helps to develop team spirit, measure the team’s strengths and weaknesses, learn about each member, experiment with new methods and create the future together.

Apprenticeship Training with the CMA CGM ACADEMY

The Group set up its Apprentice Training Center, the CFA CMA CGM ACADEMY, to train young graduates in its core business activities and enable them to pursue a career within the Group. Since September 2020, the training center has taken on students of various nationalities on a 12-month work-based training program.

The students are following the TAMM (Air and Maritime Goods Transportation) training program, with content created by the ACADEMY with the Group’s industry experts. The program will enable them to put what they have learned about transportation and logistics into practice by immersing themselves completely in the Group and its business lines.

JUMP: Abroad program for young talented people

JUMP (Junior Upwards Mobility Program) gives talented young people the opportunity to go abroad for 6 months to learn about new business lines and a different work environment.

 

SWAP: Swap roles

SWAP is another enriching program that can change people’s lives. It gives two employees from different subsidiaries the chance to swap roles within the Group.

CMA CGM Tower: an environment that encourages growth

CMA CGM ACADEMY is located at the Group’s head office in France, at the CMA CGM Tower in Marseille.
This 550 sqm space dedicated to training and development is adapted to different forms of learning, with:

  • A Digital ACADEMY available in 4 languages (French, English, Spanish and Chinese) to find out about the range of solutions on offer.
  • Around 4,000 online content modules available 24/7.
    10 equipped training rooms
  • A sailing simulator
  • An area dedicated entirely to innovation: the Lab
  • A virtual classroom
  • A video learning studio
     

By the end of 2023, the CMA CGM Academy will be housed in the TANGRAM training center, a stand-out facility designed by the CMA CGM Group to create the sustainable shipping and logistics of the future.

CMA CGM ACADEMY has developed certified solutions for France that meet regulatory requirements in collaboration with businesses, higher education institutions and business schools.

These educational solutions make each participant more employable. Certificates attesting to the skills acquired are awarded, such as the TOEIC certificate for learning English and TOSA (Test on Software Applications) for IT skills.
