CMA CGM Foundation

The CMA CGM Foundation is committed to humanitarian aid and education.

It develops long‑term partnerships with international NGOs and associations, as well as local initiatives in France, Lebanon, and around the world, relying on the CMA CGM Group’s logistics expertise.

To date, the Foundation has shipped 120,000 tonnes of humanitarian supplies to 110 countries, supported more than 100,000 children through its educational programs, and assisted 67 entrepreneurs through its social incubator Le Phare.

The Containers of Hope program is the humanitarian transport initiative of the CMA CGM Foundation. It provides NGOs and partner organizations with shipping containers free of charge to transport essential goods to crisis zones.

Since its launch, this program has enabled the delivery of tens of thousands of tonnes of humanitarian aid — including medical equipment, food, educational materials, and logistics supplies — to numerous countries, leveraging the global maritime network and supply chain of the CMA CGM Group.

The Solidarity Warehouse :
Developed by the CMA CGM Foundation, the Entrepôt Solidaire (Solidarity Warehouse) is the largest shared solidarity logistics platform in France.
This modern, secure 5,000m² facility is made available to five food aid organizations (Restos du Cœur, French Red Cross, Secours Populaire, Andès, and Secours Catholique).
With a storage capacity of 3,200 tonnes of food and 360 m² of cold rooms that can hold up to 300 pallets of fresh and frozen products, the warehouse has doubled the storage and logistics capacity of these associations within a year.

PharmaBox :
The CMA CGM Foundation developed PharmaBox, a maritime containers converted into a mobile pharmacy for storing medicines, with temperature and humidity control even in challenging environments. Developed in partnership with Action Against Hunger, PharmaBox provides 22 m³ of refrigerated space dedicated to storing medicines and treatments for malnutrition — enough to ensure medical and nutritional care for more than 50,000 children and pregnant women per year, per PharmaBox.

The Social Mini-Market :
The Social Mini-Market of the CMA CGM Foundation is the first student grocery store located in downtown Marseille (3rd district), offering students access to food and hygiene products at reduced prices. This 120m² space was designed from four converted shipping containers by the CMA CGM Foundation. Managed by the Fédération Aix‑Marseille Interasso (FAMI), the store offers food products at prices up to 90% lower than market value and hygiene or cleaning products at prices up to 70% lower.
