Terminals are the pivot of both our fleet and our industry. Through its fully owned subsidiary, CMA TERMINALS HOLDING, the CMA CGM Group has continually developed its expertise on shore and at sea to provide the safest and most efficient service possible for more than 20 years.
CMA TERMINALS HOLDING (CMATH) is an experienced container terminal operator and developer with a portfolio of 66 assets all around the globe and all operated on a multi-user principle. It is ranked 8th worldwide (according to Drewry Global Container Operators Report 2025), handling around 52M TEUs in 2025.
CMATH is active in the acquisition, development, management and operations of leading container terminals worldwide:
- High geographical spread, with presence in Europe, Asia, Americas, Africa and the Middle-East
- 7 large transshipment hubs located on major maritime trade routes: Kingston Freeport Terminal, TTI Algesiras, Kribi Conteneurs Terminal, CMAT Khalifa Port, CMA CGM PSA Lion Terminal Singapore, Eurogate Tanger et Malta Freeport Terminal
- 5 projects under development including Nador, Pointe Noire, Haiphong, Jeddah, Hamburg
CMATH is composed of two entities :
- CMA TERMINALS: 100% owned by CMA CGM
- TERMINAL LINK: 51% owned by CMA TERMINALS HOLDING and 49% by CM PORT

CMA TERMINALS
CMA TERMINALS is a leading port operator established in 2012 and fully owned by CMA CGM Group, with a portfolio of 45 terminals worldwide and handling a volume of around 22M TEU in 2025. CMA TERMINALS has the objective to provide a high-quality service to all shipping lines as well as securing critical capacity to protect clients supply chains.
For the past decade, CMA TERMINALS has shown a proven track record of strong growth and expansion, with an average growth in volume of 16% per year, achieved through the investment in strategic hubs and gateways, being the sole shareholder in Santos Brasil (Brazil), Port Liberty (USA), and New Jersey (USA) as well as Fenix Marine Services (US), maintaining a strong global presence. Active in the development, design, construction, acquisition and operation of terminals, CMAT has made bold investments to support emerging and niche markets such as Gemalink (Vietnam), Lekki Freeport Terminal (Nigeria), Nhava Sheva Freeport Terminal (India), CMA Terminals Khalifa Port (UAE), Trans Misr Terminal (Egypt) etc.

TERMINAL LINK
Established in 2001, TERMINAL LINK is based in Marseille and operates 21 terminals, in 16 countries, covering the Far East, Northern Europe, Mediterranean, West Africa and North America. TERMINAL LINK handled a volume of around 30M TEUs in 2025.

CMA TERMINALS HOLDING in 2050
CMA TERMINALS HOLDING’s vision for 2050 is to operate fully decarbonized terminals by developing green energy solutions and implementing operational excellence to reduce terminals carbon footprint. Investments and measures have been put into place to drive energy transition to accelerate decarbonization across the terminals, including:
- The deployment of fully electric terminal tractors in 3 terminals – Port Liberty Bayonne, Fenix Marine Services and Malta Freeport Terminal
- The use of decarbonized fuel HVO 100 at Fenix Marine Services and Générale de Manutention Portuaire (GMP)
- The testing of electric empty container handlers at Malta Freeport Terminal
- The development and set up of solar panels on the terminals
- Adhesion to the Zero Emission Port Alliance (ZEPA)
