CMA CGM supports producers in La Réunion Island with a dedicated flight for the holiday period

The CMA CGM Group, a world market leader shipping and logistics, is using its logistics capacity to help producers in La Réunion during the holiday period.

Thanks to its CMA CGM Air Cargo division, CMA CGM is using one of its aircraft to transport exotic fruits (grapefruit, passion fruit and lychees), fragile foodstuffs that can only be transported by air, from La Réunion Island to mainland France. In total, around 60 tons of goods will be carried from La Réunion Island to mainland France.

The A330 F aircraft will depart from Roland Garros airport for Paris Charles de Gaulle airport on the morning of Thursday, December 16.

The CMA CGM Group is providing its A330 F aircraft primarily for members of the La Réunion Interprofessional Fruit and Vegetables Association (Arifel) and Seafrigo Group to make up for the lack of availability on board passenger aircraft. With the ramp-up of its air cargo transportation and logistics operations, the Group is offering its clients new one-stop, quick and agile solutions.
