CMA CGM Launches the Startup Awards

- The first international competition aimed at supporting the most promising startups in maritime transport, logistics, and media.
- The CMA CGM Startup Awards, organized in collaboration with BFM Business and La Tribune, will announce three winners at the Artificial Intelligence Summit in Marseille (AIM) on November 15, 2024.
- ZEBOX, the international startup accelerator, will offer tailored support to the winning startups.
CMA CGM, global player in sea, land, air, and logistics solutions, is launching the CMA CGM Startup Awards, an international competition to support the best startups in maritime transport, logistics, and media, in collaboration with BFM Business and La Tribune
From July 23 to September 15, 2024, entrepreneurs worldwide in these three sectors are invited to apply via the ZEBOX website. Winners will receive funding, tailored support, and collaboration opportunities with the Group on strategic projects.
Promoting Innovation in CMA CGM’s Strategic Areas
CMA CGM believes that entrepreneurial innovation is growing globally, addressing major challenges of our time and industry. The CMA CGM Startup Awards will identify the best innovations to accelerate its transformation across the Group's strategic areas: maritime transport, logistics, and media.
In each of these three sectors, the CMA CGM Group will select the best startup among the applicants, with clear industry transformation objectives focused on environmental performance, competitiveness, and quality of life at work:
- Shipping: Enabling safer, more efficient, and sustainable navigation through innovative technological solutions.
- Logistics: Reinventing the global supply chain with smart and sustainable logistics solutions.
- Media: Transform content creation, and customer engagement with innovative media technologies and strategies.
Revealing Sector Leaders with CMA CGM’s Support at AIM
Out of 60 startups present, three winners will be selected during a final event organized on November 15 at the Orange Vélodrome Stadium in Marseille, during the 2nd Artificial Intelligence Marseille (AIM) forum organized by La Tribune and BFM Business. The selection will be made by a jury chaired by Rodolphe Saadé, Chairman and CEO of the Group, and including members of the executive committee representing the various sectors of CMA CGM.
Applicants must demonstrate the potential and maturity of their technological innovations and their ability to address a real market need. The jury will pay particular attention to the entrepreneurial team and possible synergies with the Group’s strategic areas.
Tailored Support from CMA CGM Group to Accelerate Their Development
The winning startups will benefit from tailored support by ZEBOX, the international accelerator initiated by Rodolphe Saadé, present in 6 regions around the world, and relying on a network of entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and ecosystem experts. They will receive assistance with their communication and partnership strategies and financial support of up to €150,000 per winner.
